Who we are
History and Founding
Flourish Life Church was founded in 1995 as Christ Mission Church, with its inaugural service taking place on March 19, 1995, at King's Crown School in Randle, Surulere, Lagos. The church was established with the belief that a community of believers could gather to support and uplift one another in their spiritual journeys. Initially focused on evangelism and discipleship, the church quickly became a gathering place for individuals seeking fellowship, spiritual growth, and a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

Evolution and Transformation
As the church grew and the needs of its congregation evolved, so did its vision and mission. To better reflect its commitment to nurturing the spiritual development of its members and the greater community, the church was incorporated as Flourish Life Church. This name change symbolizes the church's aspiration to help individuals not only survive but thrive spiritually, emotionally, and socially, contributing positively to the Kingdom of God.
Flourish Life Church is committed to building purposeful lives for God’s kingdom, to impact their world for Christ. We create a thriving community of believers who are empowered to live intentionally, deepen their faith, and advance God’s kingdom by transforming lives through love & God’s word.

Flourish Life Church is led by Pastor Emmanuel and Pastor (Mrs.) Olubusola Nwaobodo, who bring dynamic, transformational leadership focused on growth and unity. Through biblical teachings, practical life guidance, and mentorship, they are dedicated to nurturing the spiritual development of their congregation.
Flourish Life Church actively impacts the Ayobo community and beyond through spiritual, educational, and outreach programs, fostering practical faith and empowerment. Committed to its core values of faith, service, and community, the church continues to support individuals in flourishing and fulfilling their purpose in God’s Kingdom.
About our Pastors
Pastor Mrs. Olubusola Nwaobodo
Pastor Olubusola Nwaobodo is an accomplished minister and an alumnus of the West African Theological Seminary. Her theological education has equipped her with profound insights into the Scriptures and a deep understanding of the pastoral role. She received a call into the ministry in the year 1994 and since then she has carried the flag of leadership with her husband to carrying out the mandate of discipling, mentoring and uplifting the congregation with her wisdom and warmth. Her ministry is characterized by a fervent commitment to empowering individuals to discover and fulfill their divine purpose. Pastor Olubusola's passion for service shines through her various outreach initiatives and community engagement efforts, as she tirelessly advocates for the marginalized and encourages holistic spiritual growth within the church.
Pastor Emmanuel Nwaobodo
Pastor Emmanuel Nwaobodo serves as a Co-Senior Pastor of Flourish Life Church in Lagos, Nigeria, where he plays an instrumental role in guiding and nurturing his congregation. His dedication to providing essential spiritual support and direction is evident in his pastoral approach, which emphasizes compassion, understanding, and a deep commitment to fostering a vibrant faith community. Pastor Nwaobodo exemplifies remarkable dedication, strong leadership, and an unwavering commitment to excellence in both his professional and spiritual endeavors. His multifaceted talents have earned him profound respect within both the corporate world and the religious community, as he adeptly balances his responsibilities with grace and integrity. On a personal note, he is happily married to Pastor (Mrs.) Olabisi Olubusola Nwaobodo, his cherished companion. Together, they are blessed with beautiful children and delightful grandchildren, creating a loving family that embodies their shared values of faith and service.
Pastor Wole Emmanuel
Pastor Wole Emmanuel, a distinguished alumnus of Covenant University in Ota, discovered his fervent passion for the Lord during his time there, inspiring him to encourage young people to pursue a relationship with God wholeheartedly. As the Resident Pastor at Flourish Life Church, he collaborates closely with his parents, who are the Senior Pastors, as well as other leaders and stewards of the church, to cultivate a congregation that is both spiritually vibrant and community-oriented. His ministry is characterized by a dynamic approach to discipleship, focusing on mentoring young people to embrace their God-given callings and live purposefully for God's Kingdom. Pastor Wole's engaging preaching style and genuine heart for service resonate with the youth of the church, fostering an environment where they can thrive and grow in their faith. Together, Pastors Emmanuel and Olubusola Nwaobodo, along with Pastor Wole Emmanuel, are united in their shared vision of building a flourishing community of believers who are deeply devoted to their faith and actively participating in advancing God's Kingdom on earth.

Choir
Join our vibrant choir and worrship team and use your musical talents to lead worship and inspire others. Whether you sing or play an instrument, we welcome all those who have a heart for music and a passion for glorifying God through song. Rehearsals are held regularly, and all skill levels are encouraged to participate.
Media Team
Help us spread the message of Christ through our multimedia platforms. The Media Team is responsible for operating sound, video, and lighting during services and events. If you have experience in audio/visual technology or are eager to learn, consider joining this dynamic group dedicated to enhancing our worship experience.
Security Team
Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone who visits our church. Our Security Team plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and well-being of our congregation and guests during services and events. If you have a background in security or simply a passion for protecting others, we invite you to get involved.
Children's Department
Share your love for Christ with the youngest members of our church! Our Children's Department offers various programs, including Sunday School, children's church, and special events. If you have a heart for teaching and nurturing children, or if you simply enjoy working with kids, this is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in their lives.
Ushers Team
Be the friendly face that welcomes visitors and members to our church services. The Ushers Team is responsible for greeting attendees, assisting with seating, distributing materials, and ensuring everyone feels comfortable and cared for during worship.
